My family and I are incredibly fortunate to be able to travel a lot. We make it a point to spend time together this way because often, this is one of our main ways to bond while checking off places to see on our bucket list!
For some people, travel is all about the destination, but for me, it’s equally about the journey as well. I thrive on planning our trips down to the last detail, even mapping out what I’ll wear during our various activities when we’re there.
And you know me. Fashion inspires me so much.
With so many wonderful collections out lately, I thought I’d share some of my favorite travel style pieces that I’ll most likely be wearing while on vacation soon.
First up are these tuxedo dresses. These ones by Jacquemus are particularly flattering and chic. After all, travel style should not be confused with summer style; you won’t always be in bikinis and maillots. When you think about it, you need to pack pieces that are versatile so that you’re not spending so much time and energy lugging things around! This is why these dresses are so brilliant. They go from day to night and instantly class up a look.
Another brand I’ve had my eye on lately is Reformation. Their dresses and tops are a dream: well-made, goes with anything, and incredibly flattering on any woman. They get plus points in my book for being a sustainable brand. Their breezy sundresses are perfect for strolling around in cities where the climate is just perfect. Some dresses have a corsetry detail that elevates the look. Others, like this v-neck wrap dress, are just perfect for living in.
So while travel does not always equate to the summer season, I still believe that it’s always summer somewhere in the world. I can’t resist a good bathing suit! I’m a huge fan of Boom Sason’s swimwear; I’ve worn so many over the years that I’ve lost count! Swimwear is where you can break all boundaries! I love a bright, bold color like red or yellow that lets you stand out in a sea of blacks and whites.
You also have to make sure you have a good pair of walking shoes with you wherever you go, to keep up with all the sightseeing. By Far shoes are comfy, classy, and go with anything. I also have a soft spot for these Balenciaga shoes. A lot of people think they’re ugly, but what can I say? I’m obsessed. 🙂
To tote all your essentials around, this Reijina Pyo woven bag really seals the deal. It’s very casual but functional. In it, you can keep a pair of Le Specs × Adam Selma’s sunnies that will get a lot of use during your trip. Add your classic gold hoops, and you’re travel-ready!
