So by now, I’m sure you know that I’ve added a new feather in my hat! I’ve recently signed on to be a guest host for the country’s longest-running noontime show, Eat Bulaga. Yay! It’s a huge opportunity, and I’m really thankful to have the show’s trust and support.
Since this momma’s back to work, I’ve had the time and the inclination to get a little more dressed up these days. This week was my first week back on the small screen, so I wanted to make it memorable in more ways than one!
For some reason, I unconsciously chose floral pieces this week. Looking at it now, it seems like they even coordinated together a bit!
I started the week with this beautiful floral and yellow minidress designed by my friend Boom Sason. I know I’ve said it before, but I just really love the way she knows what looks good on a woman. Even if the dress is short, the overall shape is flattering. I just love the elegant sleeves!
The next day, I decided on a pencil skirt-and-top combo, with a twist. Yes, the skirt is floral again, with hints of yellow in the flower centers. This outfit was quite neutral, so I thought of finishing it with a feathery bag! I got this one from @threadsstyling, a team who helps in finding rare but pretty pieces. This one from Attico is all-black but made of good materials like silk. It’s definitely a conversation-starter!
I kept it easy and breezy on Wednesday with a blue and white pinstriped dress! The cold shoulder is great for a summer day, and the belt helps cinch the dress in at the waist to give you a feminine silhouette. Neutral pumps add a bit of height and make me feel a lot more confident. I think most girls can pull off this style so well! In fact, it may even look just as good with a pair of white sneakers instead of heels.
Time to bring out the big Balenciaga sneakers! On Thursday, I went for a sort of androgynous look with a black outfit, black blazer, and futuristic shades.
Casual Fridays can be a thing for me now as well! I was getting serious beach vibes from my dressed-down look with this floral top from Bench. Crisp white sneakers, denim shorts, and pretty beach waves made this the classic girl-next-door look that’s just effortless.
I brought Zion to work with me on Saturday! He really had fun touring the set and meeting the other kids backstage. Meanwhile, I kept it simple with a well-loved flattering dress in a striking red color. The most interesting detail in this outfit, in my opinion, are these printed heels! You can always add a little punch to the simplest outfit with interesting shoes, bags, or accessories.
I’m so excited to be taking on this new challenge in my career! I hope I do well, so please make sure to tune in on Mondays to Saturdays to watch us all spread a little joy to people. The Eat Bulaga team is incredibly warm and just a seriously happy bunch! Of course, I miss my kids a lot now that I’m away a few hours a day, but that just means Kai gets more snuggles and Zion gets more hugs when I get home. 🙂
