The thing about being pregnant is that I can guiltlessly indulge in my cravings! Of course, you shouldn’t overdo it because you still need to make sure you are feeding your baby the necessary nutrients she/he needs. But don’t get me wrong—even if you are not pregnant, you should definitely give in to your cravings once in a while! Treating yourself is a form of self-care that you shouldn’t skip out on. Whether it’s a huge slice of pizza or a really juicy piece of steak, you should make it a point to put some positive vibes in your life even through what’s on your plate.

As for me, there are some dishes I am absolutely loving right now that I can’t get enough of. If you’re looking for somewhere to have lunch or snacks at this weekend, you might want to try some of these restaurants. Nope, this is not a paid endorsement! Here are the top five restaurants I’m currently loving, and the dishes you definitely must try from each of them.

Bondi & Bourke

With branches in Makati and BGC, this restaurant is one of the best in Aussie cuisine! They use great ingredients to give a taste of Australia. I love their spicy red Thai mussels, snapper fillet with mashed sweet potato, chicken kebab and their Swiss brown omelet for weekend breakfasts. If you pay them a visit, be sure to try their refreshing Bourke cooler. It just hits the spot every time.

The Wholesome Table

Many people think healthy food is bland and unexciting. The Wholesome Table is here to debunk that. I mean, what’s not to love if you get healthy food that’s actually tasty? My top pick here is their chicken dukkah salad. It has roasted squash, fresh veggies, feta cheese, sunflower seeds, and greens tossed in a balsamic vinaigrette. It is a no-fail pleaser for anyone looking for something light but tasty to eat. Their eggplant parmigiana is another favorite—so filling, and without any meat! You must also try their natural smoothies to pair with your meal. I will admit that they can be a bit pricey, but this is because they use fresh vegetables in their dishes. You are really paying for quality, tasty, and healthy food.

St. Marc’s Café

I’ll get right to the point. Their choco cro chocolate croissant is delicious. Period. You cannot go to this place and not order a few of their choco cro to munch on!

Dean and Deluca

Dean and Deluca’s umami chicken is honestly so simple. It’s crispy organic chicken in a really yummy dressing! I recommend that you order this with chicken breast, but you can order it with wings too if that’s your thing. Dean and Deluca has quite a few comfort food items, so if you want to bring someone here, I’m sure they’ll find a dish they absolutely love too! Dean and Deluca is a little on the pricey side as well, so maybe save this for a truly special occasion.

Mango Tree Bistro

Thai food is one of the most flavorful cuisines, and Mango Tree just happens to do it right! I highly highly recommend their spicy green chicken curry! It’s a classic Thai dish that’s just bursting with the right flavor. It’s just so good. Also order their Phad See Iw, which is their stir-fried rice noodles in soy sauce. You can get it with chicken or with tiger prawns!

These dishes I am loving right now may not be as indulgent as a huge slice of cake, but they’re relatively light and super yummy, which makes me happy!
