You must have seen all the photos by now, but I just wanted to recap one of the most exciting nights of the year so far: the ABS-CBN Ball!

Like in previous years, the ABS-CBN ball is a night when the network’s stars and guests come together to help raise awareness for Bantay Bata 163. This year was also about honoring the late Gina Lopez, who helmed Bantay Bata as well as spearheaded her many efforts for helping the environment.

It’s also a night of great fashion statements, that many look forward to year after year.

Unlike previous years, 2019’s theme was Filipinana. I turned to Mark Bumgarner to help me create the perfect classic look for the ball.

Mark designed a very modern, elegant gown for me, inspired by butterfly sleeves worn by ladies as part of traditional Filipino dress years ago.

The beige dress is a modern mestiza look, with exaggerated butterfly sleeves, a draped bodice, and a semi A-line skirt for a more structured silhouette.

The three-strand choker helped pull together the entire look, making it look so timeless and elegant. I’m sure that I’ll look at these photos in a few years and absolutely still love the way I looked that night.

Of course, I also love that I got to attend the ball with my forever date. 🙂

And a special shoutout to Mond who did such an amazing job hosting the red carpet.

Of course, I need to heap big thanks to my glam team! It truly takes a village to get prepared for an event like this! So special thanks goes to Liz Uy and Stylized Studio, Mikka Marcaida, Archie Gilbero, The Aivee Clinic, Nuessence, Mims Qiu, and Miladay Jewels for helping me prepare for the ball. Many thanks as well to Andrea Beldua for always taking my dreamy BTS photos, and Magic Liwanag for the red carpet photos, and BJ Pascual for more snaps during the event itself. 🙂

So that’s that! Which look was your favorite from the ABS-CBN Ball 2019? I think it was a great night full of stunning fashion for a cause, so I’d love to hear from you!
