It’s really happening.
In just about three months, I’ll be walking down the aisle to be wedded to the love of my life. #BecomingMrsGutz has definitely been a while coming, and the truth is preparations have already begun some time ago. I shared with you guys some iconic dresses I loved, and even posted a short quiz of ideas I was bouncing around in my head. I also posted on Instagram some snippets of meetings we’ve had with wedding vendors.
But with my first bridal shower already done, it feels so much more real!
I was super lucky to be able to celebrate this special time with a bunch of great friends and family who are very near and dear to my heart. I hope you haven’t gotten sick of the photos I’ve posted on Instagram, because I wanted to tell you a little bit more about what happened during my bridal shower, organized by New Lounge PH!
First off, the venue. Trust me when I say that it was just incredible. This pink dream-inspired intimate setup was done at Vivere Hotel, and styled by none other than Gideon Hermosa. I loved everything, down to the smallest details like the plates and pink-and-gold cutlery.
I wanted my guests to experience a pampering session of their own. So even as their goodie bags were full of #bridetribe essentials, they were also treated to lash and pamper services from New Lounge PH.
It wouldn’t be a shower without some fun games! One was making a creative wedding gown out of tissue paper! The other was a cool ring game wherein all the guests had to wear mock engagement ring that others could “steal” if they said certain wedding-related words. The person who successfully “stole” the most rings at the end of the night was the winner!
Very few people know this about me, but I’m pretty particular when it comes to planning events. This shower was a perfect gathering in so many ways. Tasteful decor, thoughtful gifts, chill activities, and an ambience that was perfect for everyone to have a good time.
I really appreciated getting to spend time with these important people. We had a wonderful dinner at The Nest where we could just dine and chat and relax. There were definitely some happy tears shed with some speeches about the excitement for what the future holds!
By the time you read this, I’ll probably be off with another wedding-related event. There are surely more to come in the next few weeks. But I wanted to share this with you because special nights like these deserve to be memorialized in the best way possible.
I can’t thank enough the whole army of suppliers who made this happen. Bella Banquets, Formm Rentals, C&L Decor, The Hire Duo, and Casa Luxia made sure to help make my dream space happen. Wine and booze were in abundance thanks to Ralph’s, Bodegas Aessir, Gypsy Rose, and Sandy Cheers. And for the sweetest endings, Naked Patisserie came through with show-stopping desserts.
A big thank you to Events By Amanda Tirol for helping me put together this dream day for my best friends and me. And of course, many thanks to Pat Dy and Chissai Bautista for the many wonderful photos to look back on.
The next few weeks are going to be so exciting! I’m glad to have you on this journey with me. 🙂 What did you think about my shower? Is there anything special you did at yours? Let me know in the comments below!
