Music is life. There is just no other way to put it. I believe there is a perfect playlist for every waking moment. I can’t imagine each day without my headphones and my many Spotify playlists along for the ride. The only thing better than having my music with me is getting to see and hear some of my favorite musicians perform live. After all, that feeling of being in the moment, of being with so many people and singing your heart out to the soundtrack of your life is incomparable.

Even if I have so much going on at the moment, I have a bucket list of artists I wanna see live. It would be a dream come true to be able to get tickets to see them, wherever in the world it may be. It’s so hard to narrow down my top acts, but I’ve put together my ultimate list of 14 artists I wanna see live. Are any of these your favorites too? Let me know in the comments!

Beyoncé is first on my list because of obvious reasons. She is an absolute queen. I don’t know anyone who isn’t in awe of how far Beyoncé has come from her humble beginnings. Not only is she an absolute performer, her whole stance on women empowerment just makes me feel incredibly inspired.

B-stage R42 #ColdplayBuenosAires

A post shared by Coldplay (@coldplay) on

I remember the insane frenzy that happened when Coldplay announced they were doing a show in Manila some time ago. Coldplay is the kind of band you listen to when you have so many emotions or just wanna chill out. I truly believe there is a Coldplay song for every moment.

Honne is an electronic music duo from London. Their music encompasses a wide variety of genres, from pop to soul. Listen to their song “Warm on a Cold Night” for a taste of their talent. They play shows in the UK and across Europe, so I hope the stars align that I get to hear them play live one day.

Arctic Monkeys

Yup, another English music act. I’m so glad that their hiatus is over and that a new album is in the works!

Drake is so much more than just “Hotline Bling!” Did you know that all his albums have reached #1 on the US Billboard 200 charts? Give a couple of his albums a listen. He has never had a show in Manila as far as I can remember, so I hope he comes here soon!

Daniel Caesar

Daniel Caesar is new to the scene, but he’s already making waves! In fact, he was nominated for Best R&B album at this year’s Grammys.

Kendrick Lamar is one of the most talented rappers at the moment. He visited the Philippines in 2014 as part of a music festival, but I’m hoping to catch him again in concert soon.

Solange is a mainstay in the funk/soul and indie pop scene. I’m so happy that she’s getting more attention lately because her albums really are pure gold. Listen to her songs “F.U.B.U” and “Cranes in the Sky” for a sampler of what she does best. Her songs are full of meaning, and listening to just one will make you want to listen to more.

Stevie Wonder

Oh, you can’t go wrong with a legend! It would be a dream come true to listen to Stevie Wonder perform live. I grew up listening to his albums. It’s impossible for you to have never heard his songs like “Superstition,” “Lately,” and “Isn’t She Lovely.” I will definitely be playing him at my wedding. Also, watch his carpool karaoke with James Corden. I can watch it over and over again and still get the same way I felt the first time I saw it.

Frank Ocean

Frank Ocean is one of my all time faves, another singer-songwriter that is highly praised by critics. His song “Thinkin Bout You” is a mellow tune that has poignant lyrics. I made a cover of this song years ago. His album Blonde is full of great songs that I hope to hear live sometime soon.

Ed Sheeran

I hope this comes true in the near future! Ed Sheeran may be one of the biggest musicians in the world right now, but when you strip away everything else, he’s just an incredible singer-song writer.

Oh Wonder

Another fixture in the indie pop scene, Oh Wonder is one of those bands whose music makes you feel so good. They’ve always played sold-out shows since they formed in 2014, which attests to their incredible talent.

Tori Kelly

I’ve followed her ever since her first few YouTube videos and I’m so happy for where she has come. She has an incredible talent but what I love about her is her down-to-earth attitude. She has a song with Ed Sheeran called “I Was Made For Loving You” that will get you super kilig! I also love that she is a devoted Christian who inspires so many young kids.

John Mayer

I have seen him in concert before, but I’d love to watch John Mayer again. His last album called The Search for Everything was a little different compared to what he used to put out. The way he experimented with a different yet dreamy sound kept me hooked for a long time.
